75% of the IDEAS budget comes from fees for services. However, in order to develop the skills of young professionals and to open offices in additional countries, we ask people who care about sustainable development to donate to IDEAS. Helping young people, especially women, acquire the skills and experience they need in order to become recognized experts in the field ensures that microfinance institutions will be responsive to the needs of their most important clients – poor women in developing countries.

Will you support this exciting work?

• $2000 pays all of the costs of one of our offices in a developing country for a month.
• $1000 pays our Administrator in El Salvador or Nicaragua to help locate consulting work for women trainers in Central America.
• $500 pays the registration fee for one of our young consultant to attend a 5-day national or international training institute that will advance their skills and reputation.
• $200 pays for the supplies for one of our offices for a quarter of the year.
• $50 will provide supplies for a training event in our office in the Philippines.
• $20 for one night’s hotel in rural Mexico for a consultant to help an organization.

Donate Your Used Computer and Office Equipment to a Developing Country Office

If you have upgraded your computer or office equipment and would like to donate your used but still functional equipment to our offices in the Philippines, El Salvador or Nicaragua, IDEAS staff travel there frequently and can carry it in their luggage. Please donate your equipment to IDEAS, which will provide you with an US tax-deduction letter. Especially needed are laptops, a Powerpoint LCD projector, travel printer, small printers, multi-function printer with fax & scanner, palm pilots, cellular phones, speaker phones, zip drive, XP and other software, portable desktop computer (without the monitor), and light-weight office equipment like staplers.
